Ivy Manilag is a TEDx speaker, creative entrepreneur, and global storyteller from the Philippines.
She grew up in the province of Albay and later moved to Laguna after her parents separated. Like many eldest daughters, Ivy learned early how to adapt, carry responsibility, and make sense of life with limited access. Dreaming big wasn’t encouraged by her environment — it felt impractical, even indulgent — but she chose to build a life anyway.
Her journey has never been linear. Ivy has worked across sectors and cultures, from government roles during her student years to the BPO industry, and later leading teams within a UK-based cybersecurity firm. Along the way, she stepped into global events, creative leadership, and international stages — eventually becoming a TEDx speaker.
What ties all of this together is her belief in one simple idea: showing up changes everything.
Ivy is multi-passionate by nature and a doer at heart. She believes that consistency matters more than perfect conditions, and that access should be shared, not gatekept. Today, she travels the world doing what she loves — speaking, creating, building communities, and opening doors for others — while showing that a meaningful, expansive life is possible, even when you start with very little.
Her work reminds people that courage doesn’t always look bold. Sometimes, it simply looks like showing up anyway — and choosing to work for the life you want.

When she’s not speaking on stages, Ivy is usually creating in motion.
She spends her time singing, writing, and producing music, chasing melodies the same way she chases meaning. You’ll often find her surfing in Bali, solo travelling across new cities, or working behind the scenes on global events that bring people and ideas together.
Ivy is spontaneous by nature and adventurous by choice. She believes some of life’s best lessons are learned outside routines and comfort zones — in unfamiliar places, quiet moments, and brave decisions made on the go.
Whether she’s on a stage, in the ocean, or somewhere between flights, Ivy carries the same belief with her: life opens up when you show up — fully, honestly, and anyway.
